Earlier this year Vodafone announced they are pulling the pin on their email services, citing aging and unmanageable infrastructure. They say that as long as you remain a Vodafone customer they will forward any email addressed to you to your new email account – but that of course means you need a new email account. Note that it’s not just Vodafone.co.nz email addresses that are affected – the full list is …
Vodafone has suggested Google’s Gmail and Microsoft’s Outlook as options and while we agree that they are good choices for personal email, if you’ve been using your @vodafone account (or @xtra for that matter) for business use it’s time you caught up with the play and used your own domain-based email.
What does that mean?
Basically it’s this – you@yourbusiness.co.nz instead of yourbusiness@vodafone.co.nz (or @clear, or @ihug, or @xtra – you get the picture) where 'yourbusiness.co.nz' is your domain, owned by you.
Why should you care?
Well for starters, it gives you independence from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) meaning you can change for a better deal without losing access to your email or having to pay to keep it. Next – it’s far more professional and both promotes and supports your business and brand identity whenever it’s used.
Getting professional business email up-and-running is easy when you know how – and we know how! At BWR we’ve long been Microsoft Partners and we’ve recently become Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers – which means it’s easier than ever for you to benefit from real business-class email as well as other premium Microsoft products and services.
